What to Expect
One of the biggest questions anybody has when looking at a church is, "What's it like? What will I find there?" The answer to that question for First Baptist Church in Lipan is easy; you'll find a place to belong. FBC Lipan is made up of everyday, down to earth people who love God. We're not perfect people and we don't expect you to be either. We're just people seeking to follow Jesus in the best way we know how.
There isn't a dress code at FBC Lipan. Most of the men will be in jeans or slacks with a tucked in shirt, while the ladies will wear jeans, slacks, or dresses. Sometimes the pastor wears a suit, and sometimes he doesn't. There is no right way to dress here. We only ask that you come comfortable and ready to worship!
Our Sunday morning music is a blend of current worship songs, standard hymns, and southern gospel favorites. Brother Troy preaches biblical sermons that apply to your life. While our sermons will hopefully increase your knowledge of the Bible and theology, the goal isn't to simply teach a class. Brother Troy has one goal in his ministry that he strives to bring out in his sermons - to know Jesus and to make him known.
Our hope in our morning service is to bring everyone into the presence of God and deeper into relationship with Jesus. We are moms, dads, children, farmers, ranchers, teachers and myriad of other things within our congregation. More than this we hope to be the body of Christ and the family of God. So come out anytime to visit and worship with us. You might just find that First Baptist Church is a place where you can belong!
